Epoxy silicone oil is a reactive-modified silicone whose molecular segment combines the temperature resistance, flexibility, and low surface energy characteristics of siloxanes, as well as the chemical reactivity of epoxy groups. It can chemically bond with various resins such as epoxy resin and polyurethane, serving multiple functions including toughening, viscosity, leveling, and crack resistance. Demand continues to rise in the high-end synthetic fiber fabric and sewing thread finishing market. In the coatings and composite materials industry, adding epoxy silicone oil significantly improves the coating's leveling, crack resistance, and salt spray resistance. It can also be used as a tackifier to enhance the bonding ability between silicone rubber and metal or glass substrates.

Market institutions analyze that in 2026, the domestic epoxy silicone oil industry is expected to maintain an overall growth rate of about 8%. Competition for low-end general products will intensify, but there will still be supply gaps for high-purity electronic-grade and specialty aliphatic cyclic epoxy silicone oils, with prominent premium power. With the continuous expansion of semiconductor, new energy, and high-end textile industries, downstream customers no longer focus solely on unit price; their demands for product batch consistency, customized development, and technical support services are increasing. Domestic companies are gradually shifting from simply selling raw materials to a "material formulation solution" model.

Industry insiders say that the next phase of R&D will focus on green solvent-free synthesis, bio-based epoxy silicone oil, and the development of special grades of multifunctional groups, continuously narrowing the technological gap with top overseas products and promoting more domestic specialty silicone products to enter high-end industrial and supply chains.
