Applications of 70-degree High Tear-Resistant Fluorosilicone Rubber Compound in the Automotive Industry
Automotive Industry
Seals around the engine: Such as oil pan gaskets, valve cover gaskets, etc. The 70-degree hardness ensures good sealing performance, and the tear resistance can cope with the mechanical stress caused by engine vibration. Meanwhile, the fluorosilicone composition is resistant to engine oil, coolant and high temperatures (-60℃~200℃, and can withstand 250℃ for a short time), which prolongs the service life of the seals.
Fuel system components: Suitable for fuel pipe joint seals, fuel pump seals, etc. The fluorine element endows it with resistance to fuel (including ethanol-containing gasoline) and chemical corrosion, while the silicon component ensures elasticity at low temperatures to avoid low-temperature embrittlement.
Turbocharger seals: They can withstand the high temperature (up to 200℃ or more) and oil-gas mixture environment of the turbocharger, and the tear resistance prevents the seals from being damaged due to pressure fluctuations.
