Protection of Circuit Boards and Electronic Components by Hydrogen-Containing Fluorosilicone Oil
Three-proof Coating for PCB Circuit Boards
Fluorinated silicone coating adhesives (with hydrogen-containing fluorosilicone oil as a crosslinking agent) can form a protective layer with a thickness of 20-50μm on the PCB surface. After a salt spray test (5% NaCl solution, 96 hours), the corroded area is less than 1%. For example, an industrial control board adopting this coating has operated without short-circuit faults for 5 years in a coastal environment with high humidity and high salt content. Its dielectric strength reaches 25kV/mm, and the volume resistivity exceeds 10^16Ω・cm.
Sealing of Connectors
The sealing of USB Type-C or radio frequency connectors needs to balance repairability and long-term stability. The sealant formulated by blending hydrogen-containing fluorosilicone oil with polyether tackifiers maintains good sealing performance after 500 insertion and extraction cycles of the connector. Moreover, it enables non-destructive repair through local heating (80℃), avoiding the irreversibility of traditional epoxy resin encapsulation.
