Silicone oil is mainly used in textile finishing, giving the fabric soft, smooth, fluffy and other feel. In printing and dyeing processing, it is often necessary to make silicone oil into emulsion. Taking the common amino silicone oil as an example, on the one hand, soft finishing gives the fabric a smooth and soft feel, but it will also make the fabric appear serious slippage, affecting the service life of the fabric; On the other hand, its high relative molecular weight and high viscosity characteristics lead to poor dispersion stability of the emulsion. In order to avoid the phenomenon of "silicon spots" in sticky rolls and fabrics caused by emulsion breaking, the amount of emulsifier added in the emulsion is sometimes as high as 50% of the quality of silicone oil. The high dose of emulsifier not only increases the production cost of emulsion, but also reduces the adsorption efficiency of silicone oil emulsion by forming a thick hydrophilic layer on the surface of the oil droplet. The high concentration of auxiliary residue will also cause the increase of chemical oxygen demand of residual liquefaction and increase the burden of sewage treatment. Therefore, it is very important to develop new high-efficiency silicone oil emulsifiers.

To solve this problem, the researchers prepared a nanoparticle stabilized Pickering silicone oil emulsion with emulsifier, and concluded that:

1. Pickering particles used to stabilize silicone oil emulsions can be obtained by using semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization technology, and the contact Angle between the particle coating film and water is close to 90°, indicating that the prepared nanoparticles are suitable for the preparation of "O/W" Pickering silicone oil emulsions, and have high resolution at the oil-water interface.

2. The construction of the "nanoparticle/emulsifier" Pickering emulsion system can greatly improve the dispersion stability of silicone oil emulsion, and the emulsifier mass fraction is reduced from 24% to 8%, reducing by 66. When applied to fabric finishing, compared with the system stabilized by emulsifier alone, the stable silicone oil emulsion with Pickering emulsion system has higher adsorption efficiency, and the finished fabric has lower surface friction coefficient (static and dynamic friction coefficient are 0. 54, 0.52) and better feel (level 4 to 5), and while taking into account the feel, also improve its skid resistance.
